2 Weeks of Sacrifice – Blood Water Mission

2 Weeks of Sacrifice – Blood Water Mission.

I have decided that instead of 2 weeks of sacrifice I am going to do 2 months of sacrifice.  I have started today and for the next 2 months I am going to drink water instead of any other beverage.  I am going to add up the cost of what I would have normally spent on coffee, pop, tea, beer, wine etc…and I am going to donate that money to Blood Water Mission as my way of helping to fight the water crisis…

I had no idea that 8 Billion people don’t have access to clean water….yes Billion with a B…that number staggered me.  I also learned that unclean water is the number 1 killer of children world wide…and as a parent that pains me…..so I am going to do what I can to help….

This will probably not be my last “fund raiser” for the water crisis….I am thinking about doing a Wine to Water event, debating on how to plan an event to get the local tech community involved etc….
